I attended a local fair/festival back in August 2009. I brought a new lens I had just picked up a week or so before, and decided to play around with it during the fireworks display they had.

I know the photos aren't anything special. I've seen some really amazing fireworks shots on here. If anyone wants to give me tips on shooting fireworks, I would be really grateful. I know it's important to have a tripod most of the time, but I wasn't able to bring one. I'm sure that's pretty obvious haha. I was using a low ISO setting and shooting in a fairly long exposure time for the most part.
I was pretty close to them, and I couldn't zoom out very much with the lens I had. With people standing shoulder to shoulder, I always freak out about carrying a few lenses around at events.

I think the close ups look kind of neat, but I would have preferred to have a few zoomed out shots as well. Oh well, next time I will be trying some different things!
Thanks for viewing!
